About HBDL

Meet The Founder: Harry Bruno

A talented young dental technician named Harry S. Bruno opened his own small laboratory 43 years ago. After graduating from an ADA accredited Dental Laboratory School in Atlanta, Georgia. He started H.B. Dental Laboratory in his father’s dental office in downtown Pensacola, Florida. –unknowingly setting the course for a family-owned dental laboratory that would serve technicians and dentists for decades to come.

Originally, the lab’s only employee was Harry, but soon, another employee was needed to help with pick-ups and deliveries. More employees were added as the years passed, including both of his daughters and son passed through the lab, each four years part. H.B. Dental Lab was principally a small boutique dental lab, serving only a handful of local Pensacola dentists. From the outset, the company’s goals were simple, but they ring as true today as they did in 1977: understand your doctors, know their needs, provide them with products that reflect the highest in craftsmanship and care, and deliver them with consistent, friendly customer service. This not-so-secret formula has led to many years of success at H.B. Dental Laboratory.

HBDL: Today And Beyond

We now accept intra-oral digital scans, or impressions for digital lab scans and precision zirconia milling. We mill using Roland 5 axis milling technology in-house at H.B. Dental Laboratory. We also design custom implant abutments, from major manufacturers, for ideal form and function.

Having started from hand crafting and analog dentistry to, now, digital dentistry and implants we offer a number of viable dental options to provide for, while still maintaining craftsmanship and artistry as part of our continuing history.

Additionally, Mr. Bruno has been working chairside for years, tending to dentists’ and their patients’ needs. His understanding of what it means to communicate directly with patients, helps him apply his knowledge of the dental field to create quality solutions for you to maintain happy and satisfied patients.

We, like many, have survived and maintained service to our valued doctors through ups and downs in an uncertain economy. We stand with all our dentists and staff and give thanks, as we are proud to be part of their dental team.
